CrossTalk International Policies

Donation Policy

How CrossTalk International accepts, acknowledges, designates, administers, and, in limited situations, refunds charitable gifts.

Last updated: July 1, 2026

Purpose and Stewardship

CrossTalk International is grateful for each person who supports the ministry. Donations help support broadcast, teaching, evangelism, discipleship resources, media production, outreach, administration, and related ministry purposes.

CrossTalk exercises final discretion and control over contributed funds so gifts can be used responsibly and consistently with the ministry’s purposes, accepted donor restrictions, applicable law, and changing ministry needs.

Unrestricted and Designated Gifts

Unrestricted gifts may be used where CrossTalk determines they are most needed. A donor may request that a gift support a published project or fund. A restriction is accepted only when CrossTalk agrees to it and can administer it lawfully and practically.

If a project is fully funded, completed, delayed, changed, becomes impractical, or can no longer be carried out, CrossTalk may use remaining funds for a substantially similar purpose or another ministry need, consistent with applicable law and any commitment made to the donor. A memo-line notation or online comment does not by itself create a legally binding restriction unless CrossTalk accepts it.

Tax Information and Receipts

CrossTalk may provide an acknowledgment or receipt when sufficient donor information is available. Donors are responsible for keeping records and consulting their own tax advisor about deductibility, valuation, and reporting. CrossTalk does not provide individual tax advice and does not guarantee that a particular gift is deductible.

If a donor receives goods or services in connection with a payment, the deductible portion, if any, may be limited to the amount paid above the fair market value of those goods or services. CrossTalk will provide disclosures when required and reasonably possible.

Recurring Donations

A recurring donation continues according to the schedule selected until it is changed, canceled, declined, or otherwise ended. Donors should use the payment provider’s account tools or contact CrossTalk with enough time before the next scheduled charge. Cancellation stops future charges but does not automatically refund prior completed gifts.

Donation Errors and Refund Requests

Donations are generally final. CrossTalk may consider a refund for a duplicate charge, incorrect amount, unauthorized transaction, technical error, or accidental gift. Contact us as soon as possible, preferably within 10 days of the transaction. We may request information needed to verify the donor, payment, and circumstances.

Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method. Processing fees, currency differences, and third-party timelines may affect the amount or timing where permitted by law. CrossTalk may deny a request when funds have already been committed or spent, the request cannot be verified, or granting it would violate law or a binding restriction.

Noncash, Securities, Property, and Planned Gifts

Do not deliver noncash property, securities, vehicles, cryptocurrency, real estate, intellectual property, or planned-giving instruments without prior written coordination. CrossTalk may accept or decline a proposed gift based on mission fit, cost, risk, restrictions, liquidity, legal requirements, and administrative burden. CrossTalk does not provide appraisals or valuations for a donor’s tax reporting.

Third-Party Payment Processing

Online gifts may be processed through third-party platforms. The processor’s terms, privacy policy, security procedures, fees, and transaction rules may also apply. CrossTalk may receive limited donor and transaction information needed for receipts, records, support, and stewardship.

Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud

Please contact CrossTalk before initiating a chargeback so we can investigate and attempt to correct an error. We may contest chargebacks that appear inaccurate, abusive, or fraudulent and may provide transaction records to the payment processor or financial institution. Suspected fraud or unlawful activity may be reported to appropriate parties.

Donor Privacy and Communications

Donor information is handled under the Privacy Policy. CrossTalk does not sell donor lists. Donors may ask to stop non-essential communications, although we may retain and use information for receipts, accounting, security, legal compliance, and transaction support.
