The end is near! Maybe true, but that misses the mark. A message of the end is the focus of many popular films and books. Yet Christians are deemed naive if we suggest a similar view because of what we read in the Bible.
If a blockbuster disaster flick declares that the earth would be covered by water and only an ark could save mankind and land animals, theater-goers fill the seats. However Christians are intimidated from mentioning a flood, Noah, the ark, judgment, and deliverance in the same paragraph.
How can the same people who mock Christians for believing the Bible trust science fiction, politicians, and CNN?
For the record, How many Mayan calendars exist? If one ends in 2012, how many others forecast events far into the future? That was a rhetorical question that doesn’t really matter. They had numerous different calendars and many others that were lost–just like the people.
I have a bigger concern to present.
QUESTION: How many sins does it take to make a sinner?
ANSWER: One.
The end is near. Are you forgiven?
BTW once again, Hollywood got it wrong. God will never cover the earth with another flood. Had the producers of 2012 read the Bible instead of a defunct calendar they would have known.
